Concurrent Learning

You CAN be a successful parent educator. Instilling confidence and ease of mind, we believe in equipping you with tools for success. Teaching Simply is your one-stop shop for remote learning assistance such as teaching tips, resources (including educational media, homeschooling regulations, funding, etc.), inspiration, and testimonials.  As a bonus, you will receive access to Concurrent Learning, a multi-dimensional planning app designed to make your life efficient and effective.  Our mission is to empower you and your family by making the teaching process clear, manageable, and organized.  Be empowered through Teaching Simply.

Are you challenged with time management?  Balancing home, work, and school is often a primary issue for parent educators.  Organization, optimization, and simplification can be life savers.  You may also have underlying concerns about whether your child is receiving the fundamentals, or standards, required of his/her grade level.

Learning efficiency and effectiveness can occur through a three-dimensional format in which two or more subjects are taught at once.  This is called Concurrent Learning.  Raesup Educational Consulting has adopted a method for providing a 3D concurrent learning experience.  This easy-to-use “Teaching Simply with Concurrent Learning” app has been created to maximize learner engagement, organize the instructional process, optimize time management, and align

TESTIMONIALS

Interested in becoming a satisfied client? Get in touch with me today and see how my services can benefit you or your business.

"Ms. Haugen has a way of making every child feel so important and valued.

My son, Jason, has autism.  The differences in his abilities when he first came to her multigrade classroom in 3rd grade to when he left at the end of 5th grade were huge. Ms. Haugen always took the time to go over Jason's work with him and brainstormed ideas to make learning meaningful.  She even discussed ideas for his adulthood. Jason experienced huge milestone's in Ms. Haugen's class.  For example, by the end of 5th grade, he was able to give an oral presentation on Spain (which included speaking and using multimedia). It lasted 25 minutes! It was phenomenal, and I will never forget it!

The energy in her class was so positive and relaxed that it is a perfect environment for anyone to succeed. Ms. Haugen is an outstanding teacher who goes far beyond and amazes everybody with her love for her students and her dedication to make sure every one of them soars higher than they ever thought they could!"

How to Make remote Learning Fun & Social!

  1. Show and tell day in Zoom classroom

  2. Q & A session with guest speaker on favorite topic

  3. Chat time before and after class

  4. Journaling as “news reporter” - write and share about experiences with remote learning (especially during COVID-19 social distancing)

  5. Zoom talent show

  6. Students act out mini plays on Zoom to demonstrate understanding of historical events

  7. Character day - students wear costumes for Zoom class (can be integrated into a learning activity such as creative writing about the students’ costume characters)

  8. Zoom PE challenge - students take turns watching and cheering for each peer who is completing the challenge (such as most jumps in a minute while jumping rope or most shots in basketball hoop in a minute)

  9. Zoom treasure hunt - after the teacher gives clues, students identify an item behind the teacher on a Zoom screen (item can be used as an instructional prompt)

  10. Zoom painting or cooking day - following the teacher’s instructions, each student is creating his/her own painting or dish, which can be seen and appreciated by peers in each of the Zoom windows

  11. Zoom charades - can be used to act out characters in a reading or social studies unit
